Beads_and_Wheat

A larger 1200x900 image.

This is my first parameter file post to the Fractint Mail List. If you have been reading my earlier posts you are already aware that I released Fracton for the Mac yesterday. One of the first things I would like to test is Fracton's ability to export .PAR files. I don't have a PC so I haven't been able to test the exported files with Fractint. Thats where I am hoping someone here can help. Would at least one person please reply whether or not this par file works in FractInt and gives the same image as shown above.

While testing Fracton I used parameter files from Jim Muth's Fractal Of The Day (FOTD) website as test cases. I have looked at hundreds (maybe even thousands) of them and I have a lot of favorites. Occasionally, I would spend a few minutes exploring the image and I was often rewarded with interesting things. One thing I always tried was zooming into noisy areas to see what was there and I found one that I thought was spectacular. The FOTD in question is Spirit_of_The_All from October 28, 2009 which is on the FOTD website here.

The original image is one of my favorites but if you move just off the top of the image and zoom in you will find something that looks like Beads and Wheat in 3D. I usually wouldn't post a pan and zoom parameter file but this image looks so different than the original it's unusual. It is also important to have a similar original PAR file that does work in FractInt to compare with the Fracton exported one. You can get the original with different pan and zoom from the FOTD link above. When I was first looking at the image I wondered if anyone else noticed it. I looked on the mail list and no one said anything so by posting this par file this potentially undiscovered image will be documented.
